Celebrating National Nurses Week at Culver City
During National Nurses Week (May 6-12), we salute our nurses for their service to our community 365 days a year. Our nurses are to be applauded for their innumerable contributions to the care of our patients in Culver City and across West Los Angeles. While we have always had deep appreciation for the profession of nursing, during this past year they have truly inspired us.
Our nurses have demonstrated tremendous commitment and resilience. We know it has not been easy. We realize not all of our facilities could participate in last year’s Nurses Week due to the pandemic, so this year provides an opportunity to doubly express our gratitude. We thank them for facing the many challenges and long hours stemming from this public health crisis with extraordinary courage.
Prospect Medical is committed to nursing. We are committed to the further development of our nursing professionals. In 2021 we are kicking off the Center for Frontline Nursing Leadership, focusing on the leadership development of our staff nurses. We are hardwiring preceptor programs and nurse residencies. We are committed to hearing their voices through our shared governance/shared decision-making committees and councils. Our nurses are foundational to our ability to serve our patients, and we want to continue to provide them with opportunities to learn and grow.
We commend our nursing staff for its incredible dedication. Our facilities and communities are making their way through the pandemic in great part because of their tenacity and spirit. As we look ahead, we can all have hope for the future because our nurses will be here, making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives, living our mission, and embodying our values every day. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude.
Sincerely,
