Services are provided for injuries and illnesses such as stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury, peripheral nerve injury, hip fractures and replacements, amputations, degenerative disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and cancer.
With a staff of more than 100, SCH-CC team members include the medical director; nurses; physical, occupational and speech therapists; social workers; psychologists; family physicians; and other trained assistants.
Our inpatient rehab unit, which has 32 beds, provides extensive therapy for patients with orthopedic and neurological conditions who are otherwise medically stable. Each patient receives a minimum of three hours of rehab training each day, six days a week.
Following a procedure, your rehab can be crucial to your recovery. That is why we have an experienced, multidisciplinary team of providers, including acute care therapists and rehab therapists. The former focuses on getting the patient ready for the next level of care, while the latter focuses on getting the patient home.
